Volunteer and contribute financially to Shaheed Bhagat Singh Library operated by Naujawan Bharat Sabha

Since last year, the Shikshan Sahayata Kendra (SSK, Education Help Center) has been operated by Naujawan Bharat Sabha in the upper Bibwewadi and Dandekar pul region of Pune. In current times because of privatization of education, it is unaffordable for most of the students coming from working-class backgrounds. Incessant increase in the fees of schools, and colleges is driving out most students from the education system. Only 24% of students can reach higher education. Under the New Education Policy the situation is going to worsen. Universities will get less grants from the central government, instead, they will have to take loans. This loan will certainly be paid by raising the fees of students.
On the one hand, education is goint to get costlier, and on the other, the Modi government is also closing down scholarships for students. The Modi government last year stopped the Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) which was earlier given to M.Phil, PhD students coming from minority backgrounds. The government has also stopped pre-matric scholarships for 1st to 8th standard S.C., S.T., and O.B.C students. The Modi government is attacking the right to education of students coming from poor households.
When education is getting costlier, the quality of education is also getting very poor. The Fascist Modi government is engaging in the saffronisation of education. Nowadays students are being taught a false history in which the history of treachery to masses and mercy petitions to the British of the RSS is being hidden and traitors of the national freedom movement are being celebrated as national heroes. This government is also distorting science. Recently, Darwin’s theory of evolution was removed from NCERT books. RSS is distorting history and science because of its agenda to spread communalism and irrationality and develop a new generation that won’t ask any questions to this government or this capitalist system. This system is killing curiosity among students. To earn a job with a big fat salary has been made the only motive to take higher education.
Keeping the above motive in mind Naujawan Bharat Sabha operates Shikshan Sahayata Kendra (SSK, Education Help Center) in working-class neighbourhoods in different parts of the country. The main motive of these education help centers is not just to teach students for their exams and help them reach higher standards but also to teach scientific attitude, develop curiosity, make students aware of current political, economic, and social questions in the country, to inculcate students’ interest in learning. We are doing similar kinds of work in the Bibwewadi and Dandekpur area of Pune since last year. In the last few months, we were not able to run Education Help Center regularly because our volunteers were busy in Bhagat Singh Jan Adhikar Yatra (BSJAY) but from July onwards we will be starting the SSK regularly.
The activities of Naujawan Bharat Sabha are run only with contributions from the working class and justice-loving persons. You can contribute in the following ways.
